Hebrews 5:11-14

Reading and studying the Scriptures has great benefits, likewise, not reading and studying the Scriptures has great damage. The main issue is a Christian is easier to be deceived if they do not know the truth taught by the Bible. All Christians should be discipled on Bible interpretation, Old Testament and New Testament survey, New Testament doctrine, New Testament worldview, New Testament lifestyle, and New Testament rules. If we truly know and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we will want to know what He taught. Here are some example links for the above.

Warning Not to Fall from the Faith

11 About whom we have many things to say and difficult to explain, since youp have become too lazy to listen.

[How did these believers become lazy and indifferent? Compare Mark 4:7 and Mark 4:18-19. Their focus of life and priorities changed. Revelation 2:4].

12 Also at the time youp should be teachers, youp need someone to reteach youp the basics of the word of God and have become as those who need milk and not solid food.

13 For everyone who uses milk is inexperienced with the word of righteousness, because he is a baby.

14 But solid food belongs to those who are mature having their spiritual senses exercised through use to discern both good and evil.

[All believers have the opportunity to grow in faith. The ‘food’ is God’s Word—the Scriptures. Will we read and study it or not? Compare Acts 17:11, 2 Timothy 3:16, Proverbs 3:14-15, and Proverbs 1:4].
