1 Corinthians 10:31 (TCENT) So whether you eat or drink or do anything, do it all for the glory of God.
This is one of the rules of Christ (Galatians 6:2). It applies to everything in life—eating, drinking, and/or anything else. There is one goal—do it for God’s glory. We don’t these things for our glory. If one has the gift of music, it is to be used to glorify God. If one has the gift of medicine, business, education, or absolutely anything, do it to glorify God. If we are young or old, rich or poor, healthy or sick, learning or teaching, no matter what our situation, we are to do it for the glory of God. If we are in church, the sermon, singing, offerings, speaking to one another, everything needs to be to the glory of God.
If we are a believer, we must strive to know Jesus’s rules and live them. With God’s grace and strength, we can.
Consider:
1 Chronicles 16:29 (AFV) Give to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
1 Corinthians 6:20 (AFV) For you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Peter 4:11 (AFV) If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God; if anyone serves, let it be as from the strength which God supplies; so that in everything, God may be glorified through Jesus Christ to Whom is the glory and the power into the ages of eternity. Amen.
