2 Timothy 3:16-17 (MSB) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
The Bible is the standard for truth whether it be what to believe (doctrine/instruction), for conviction (the Holy Spirit uses the words of the Bible to convict us), correction (teaching what is right vs wrong), and training in righteousness (how to be righteous).
How are you doing? I ask myself the same.
In order to know, we must interpret the Bible correctly. We must believe the Holy Spirit’s words (the Bible) and interpret it in its plain, normal sense, not doctrinal presuppositions.
If we follow Dr. Cooper’s Golden Rule, we honor God. “When the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths, indicate clearly otherwise.” ~Dr. David L. Cooper
