Resurrection Day

  • by

“Crucify Him,” they said, and He was crucified.

Matthew 27:35 (AKJV) And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and on my clothing did they cast lots.

He died.

John 19:33-34 (VW) But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

He was buried.

Isaiah 53:9 (NET) They intended to bury him with criminals, but he ended up in a rich man’s tomb, because he had committed no violent deeds, nor had he spoken deceitfully.

He went to Paradise (Abraham’s Bosom the blessed compartment of Hades—Luke 16:22-23).

Acts 2:27 (TCENT) For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor will you let your Holy One see corruption. (Ref Psalm 16:10)

He rose from death.

Matthew 28:6 (UKJV) He is not here: for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

He ascended to heaven.

Acts 1:9 (TCENT) After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

He is at the right hand of the Father.

Acts 5:31 (EHV) God exalted him to his right hand as Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and the forgiveness of sins.

He will come again to take the Christian believers home.

John 14:3 (EHV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that you may also be where I am.

He will come again to save Israel about 7 years after Christians are gone in the Rapture.

Zechariah 14:3 (EHV) Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle.
